Infrared activation technology
now standard on Dor-O-Matic sliding doors
Harwood Heights, IL - March 28, 2003 -- Dor-O-Matic
is pleased to announce that its activation standard
for the 96K Series sliding doors is now the OA-202C,
a combination motion control and presence sensor
in one housing.
The new OA-202C sensor utilizes highly sophisticated
and reliable infrared technology that provides
a maximum pattern 7 feet wide x 10 feet deep,
with a detection pattern that is easily focused,
bent, and filtered to site requirements. Active
infrared technology detects people or objects
even if they stop moving. It is unaffected by
environmental interferences, such as birds, insects,
rain, snow, and sunlight, and can "read"
dark colors and low contrast objects. Housings
are water and humidity resistant. With the OA-202C,
there's only one sensor to install, for motion
and presence. Installation is quick and adjustment
easy.
With the new OA-202C sensor, the standard 96K
Series Safety Plus package has gained an
additional margin of safety by providing both
motion detection and threshold presence protection
on the interior and exterior side of an entrance.
The dual photoelectric safety beams that also
are part of the Safety Plus package have
been changed to a new style, Model OS-10C. The
OS-10C provides the convenience of one-button
set-up to adjust sensitivity and range.
