DOR-O-MATIC ICU/CCU DOORS NOW AVAILABLE WITH POSITIVE LATCHING

Harwood Heights, IL - December 10, 2002 -- Dor-O-Matic Inc., a division of Ingersoll-Rand Security & Safety announces the availability of positive latching as an option on its Slimline ICU/CCU manual sliding doors to assure patient privacy.

With positive latching, doors close securely when they contact the strike. Positive latching also allows doors to open quickly to accommodate emergency situations.

Dor-O-Matic's positive latching handle is ADA compliant and opens easily, without tight grasping or turning when rotated as little as 45 degrees.

Dor-O-Matic ICC/CUU doors offer high visibility for patient monitoring, and provide fast, unimpeded access for hospital personnel, carts, gurneys and other emergency equipment. Dor-O-Matic ICU doors are available in two designs: 1) trackless and, 2) with a floor track concealed in the door frame.

Positive latching is available as an option on SO-SX-SX-SO and SX-SO, and SO-SX floor track models. In addition, doors with positive latching are full-breakout at any point in their travel.
